Group Sustainability Manager Hans van Dam started at InfraMobility

His mission is to turn sustainability at InfraMobility, Hansea and Munckhof into concrete actions.

InfraMobility

As soon as you enter a branch of InfraMobility and its subsidiaries Hansea or Munckhof, you immediately notice the ESG commitment proudly displayed on the wall. What that promise really means, the employees will experience in the coming years, if it is up to Group Sustainability Manager Hans van Dam. This month he began his mission to turn sustainability at InfraMobility, Hansea and Munckhof into concrete actions that everyone can feel.

From vision to action for sustainable change

Hans is no stranger to the world of sustainability. Before joining InfraMobility, he worked at several companies on making processes more sustainable, always taking a critical and fair view. He likes to solve challenges through collaboration and optimization, and sees the bigger picture in which companies can learn from each other.

On LinkedIn, Hans is active in a community focused on reporting on sustainability, and regularly publishes stories to inspire others. “By doing so, I hope to help companies and organizations apply sustainability in practice. At InfraMobility, Hansea and Munckhof, I see that we are already doing many good things. Think of our ever-growing electric fleet, but also the strong focus on the happiness of our passengers and even the optimization of our routes. These are all things we are making a positive impact on day-in and day-out.”

Last summer, Hans already sat down with a number of colleagues to lay the groundwork for a strategy. His role consists of three core tasks: Action, Communication and Reporting. “On the one hand, I want to increase our positive impact as much as possible and, on the other hand, ensure that employees are aware of what we are already doing, what the plans are and how they can contribute to it.” In addition, I will be reporting on the sustainability performance of Munckhof and Hansea (which we are obliged to do from 2026 due to agreements with the European Union). It's a long-term mission, but ultimately it's about people feeling what we do, not just hearing what we tell them,” Hans emphasizes.

Delighted

His approach is simple and down-to-earth: not words, but concrete actions. Hans is looking forward to working with everyone within InfraMobility, Hansea and Munckhof on a future where sustainability is not just a goal, but a matter of course in everything “we” do. “We already do a lot of things right, but ultimately I want everyone to consciously do their part and feel it.”

Hiring Hans van Dam as Sustainability Manager at InfraMobility is another step towards an innovative and sustainable future of passenger transportation. Just before the summer, Bruno Humblet was appointed as InfraMobility's new CEO. Bruno is looking forward to taking many more steps together with Hans towards a cleaner, safer and more efficient future.
